STRAND FOR WOMEN
March 11 - April 26
In 2023, answering a call for support for international artists, Prune Nourry launched Strand For Women, an ongoing and participative global art project collecting strands of hair from all genders across the globe, in support of #WomanLifeFreedom. Participate by cutting a strand of hair and adding it to the collection.
The Catharsis Arts Foundation and The Invisible Dog Art Center co-present Strand For Women as part of their residency at Atelier Jolie.
The Invisible Dog Art Center is a New York City-based non-for-profit organization founded in 2009 by Lucien Zayan. Community-based and collaborative at heart, The Invisible Dog is dedicated to offering artists and audiences opportunities to freely explore innovative and multidisciplinary work.
Fostering emerging and established artists alike, its programs bring together exhibitions, performances, residencies and culinary experiences that reflect a wide range of perspectives and push the boundaries of artistic disciplines. These programs provoke meaningful conversations while remaining accessible to all.
Embracing a newly nomadic spirit, The Invisible Dog Goes For a Walk invests in and transforms spaces around the world, creating dynamic environments that amplify artistic expression, collaboration and the richness of inter-cultural voices.
